Hunt's Taylor Creek Construction has been hired by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to rebuild the Joplin Missouri Stake Center, located just east of the destroyed Joplin High School. The aim of this blog is to look back at the history of the building owned by The LDS Church (members of which are commonly called Mormons); compile stories of survival related to the tornado that destroyed the place of worship; and chronicle the reconstruction of the new regional church center.
